Challenge//Day 28🎇🎇

The last challenge of the month is here!! Even though this is the last one of the month, I do intend on doing more kindness challenges in the future. Was anyone able to write a letter to someone? I hope so :). This week's challenge is about New Year's resolutions. Ahhh yes, we all know the extremely unrealistic resolutions:

"I will exercise for 30 minutes everyday"

"I will only eat X amount of sugar every week"

"I will drink a gallon of water everyday"

While all of these are wonderful things, I don't think many people have actually fulfilled them. So, this New Year's resolution is different. It's extremely important in every Christian's life, and what better way to make a commitment than at the beginning of the new year? So, for the final challenge: I challenge you to get in your Bible. Try to read it everyday. Start a plan on the YouVersion app, or at Bible.com. If you need suggestions on where to start, please contact me! Tell a friend to keep you motivated and accountable. I have hopes to start a Bible study with a friend of mine. While you may fail (I know I have), please, please, please do not get discouraged. Your walk with God is extremely important!

Last year, I was in a rough patch, and had very little of a relationship with God. Sure, I still believed in Him, and yes, I did put a fake face on in front of everyone and act like I had everything together. However, this was not the case. My faith was being tested, and instead of just trusting God like I should have, I questioned His authority. "But, God, do you really know what you're talking about? I mean, I know I've been told my entire life that your plan is always better, but this doesn't seem better!!" At the beginning of this year, I made the commitment to put my full trust in God (something I hope to post about very soon). I began to dig into His Word, pray more often, and thank God for everything. You'll never believe the impact just these three things had on my life. While I by no means have it all together, God is right by my side through it all. I hope to share my testimony soon! Friends, if you are struggling, please don't struggle alone. It's so, so important to tell someone about it! I guarantee you, you are not struggling alone.

Seriously, the impact that reading your Bible will have is like no other. As far as praying goes, the Bible says that you don't even have to form words, but just speak the name of Jesus, and He will help you.

"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."         Romans 8:26 NKJV

News flash, people: you don't have to know what to say, you only have to know how to come to God. He is your friend, and He will help you in times of distress, even when all you have to offer is "groanings which cannot be uttered."

So, will you accept? If you are a girl, be a woman of God, and if you are a guy, be a man of God! Stand up for Jesus!! Get in your Bible, and I guarantee you, it will change your life for the better.
